Artists exchange – Artist in Residency

Artist-in-residency programs and other residency opportunities exist to invite artists, academicians, curators and other creative people for a time and space away from their usual environment and obligations. They provide a time of reflection, research, presentation and/or production. They also allow an individual to explore her/his practice within another community; meeting new people, using new materials, experiencing life in a new location. Art residencies emphasize the importance of meaningful and multi-layered cultural exchange and immersion into another culture. 

Within its NEST residency program, Institute for Contemporary Art, Yerevan is in close partnership with the following organizations: 

Institute for Contemporary Art, Yerevan cooperates with Hrant Dink Foundation. Thanks to its scholarships and travel grants programs, we accept Turkish artists.


The Institute for Contemporary Art, Yerevan and Ein Hod Artists’ Village, Israel have elaborated a long-term program of artists exchange, as a result of which a memorandum of understanding has been signed.
